Staff Software Engineer AV Environment

About the role:

We are seeking passionate and skilled senior/staff software engineering candidates who want to work in a fast-paced and execution oriented team. At Gatik, you will join the Remote Supervision team which plays an important role in monitoring our fleet and leveraging real-time human-in-loop guidance for operational efficiency.

This role is onsite 4 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office!

What you’ll do:

Contribute to all technical aspects of 3D HMI(Human Machine Interface)Develop interactive user interface to represent AV environment for vehicle testing to control and monitor the system. For example, the perceived objects around the vehicle, system health status, vehicle decisions, etc Develop and test scalable user interaction toolsClosely collaborate across Product Designers and Engineering teams for smooth handoffs, execution and successful launch of product featuresCollaborate cross-functionally as the technical expert in game engines such as Unity3D, Unreal etc. for the development of 3D asset pipelines associated with such systemsIdentify bottlenecks and gaps in the system, benchmark on different methods and provide solutions Maintain comprehensive documentation of code design, architectures and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing

What we’re looking for:

8+ years of experience in a technical role in real time user-interfaces and/or games environmentPrior expertise with programming using game engines like Unity, Unreal, etc.Understanding of optimisation for games or real-time simulationExperience with game assets and pipelinesExcellent C++/C# skills for writing high-quality, performant, and maintainable codeExperience in GUI application development and 3D graphics Experience writing unit testsExperience with linux Ubuntu OSExperience in distributed systems/cloud computingExperience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD systems.
