Position Description:
Drive automation initiatives to streamline the deployment, scaling and management of cloud resourcesCollaborate with the engineering team to enhance and maintain IaC best practices, facilitate CICD processes within the SDLCWork closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and provide guidance on infrastructure-related challenges. Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to align infrastructure solutions with business objectivesImplement and enhance monitoring solutions for our cloud environments including creating alerts, dashboards, and visualizations that allow the identification and resolution of performance and availability issuesDesign, implementation and maintenance of LetsGetChecked cloud environmentsVulnerability management of containers and EC2 instances to ensure complianceApply configuration changes through established change control management processesCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation including text and diagrams for the entire platformPropose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability of the cloud infrastructure by leveraging SRE best practices. Including Observability, eliminating toil, SLOs, SLIs and SLAsManage, maintain and monitor multiple Kubernetes clustersWrite and maintain helm charts for our internal servicesFacilitate the transition of EC2-based architecture to a more modern and advanced Kubernetes architecture
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in systems scripting languages like Powershell, Bash. Experience with a programming language like python is a plusExperience managing cloud platforms with a focus on AWS and some familiarity with AzureWindows Server and Linux (AWS Linux and Ubuntu) administration experience (Patching, securing and maintaining vms and containers.)Deep understanding of network protocols at different levels (IP, HTTP, DNS, etc)Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resourcesFamiliarity with the technology stack we use is an advantage (AWS, .NET, Packer, Terraform, AppVeyor, Vault, Consul, Helm, Salt)Conscious of the best practises with regards to security
The base salary range for this role is â¬60.000 – â¬73.000.
